My Story

Hello and welcome! My name is Patrick Driscoll, a 2024 graduate of Clemson University. From taking a chance on a school twelve hours from home, walking on to a Division One track program as an un-recruited athlete, to figuring out a post-graduate career. While a rollercoaster ride, I would not trade my time at Clemson for anything.

While Clemson did not have a journalism program, I decided to pursue a multi-media journalist career only one year before graduating. I'm often asked, "Why television... and why decide so late?" During my time as a student-athlete, I was able to hear many incredible tales from my peers. It opened my perspective on life, realizing everybody holds a story behind them. When I returned home that summer, I loved relaying their stories to others- making me want to be a voice, someone a community could lean on one day.

My undergraduate endeavors led to accepting a News Photographer position at WAVY TV-10 in Norfolk, Virginia. Just like the grind and hustle of my running days, I continued to chase my reporting dreams. Immersing myself in a newsroom like WAVY allowed me take my skills to the next level. Eight months into my professional career, I received my first on-air opportunity, now turning stories as both a photographer and multimedia journalist. As my journey continues, I look to not only keep telling these stories, but touch lives in the process.
